Kent McKown (President)

With over 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial leadership experience, Kent has led several growth and transitional stage companies through start-up, high-growth, turnaround, restructuring and strategic transactions/exits.  His roles have included CEO, COO and CFO as well as board advisor, consultant and coach.  


His experience includes (but is not limited to) value growth and acceleration, strategic planning and execution, mergers and acquisitions, exit planning, and professional management implementation.    


Kent is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a Certified Merger & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).



 



  

Robin Taylor (Manager, Member Services)

With a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, Robin oversees client services, manages special events, handles public relations and ensures CEBI runs smoothly. If you have a need or a special request Robin is there to take care of it.

 


  

Richard Douglas (Security Adviser and Facilitator)

       

Richard Douglas, CPP, is the former General Manager of Corporate Security and Fire protection for the U.S. Steel Corporation’s global operations. Specific operations included cyber security, uniformed guard services, ex-patriot protection, emergency response, emergency medical services, intelligence, investigations, and international, federal, state and local asset protection compliance.


As the leader of U.S. Steel’s integrated security and fire protection capabilities, Mr. Douglas has developed a unique perspective from both hands-on experience and multi-discipline accreditation’s. His reputation as a leader in building public/private partnerships include:

  • Founder, first chairman of Critical Manufacturing Sector Coordinating Council
  • Chairman of the Cross Sector Supply Chain Working Group
  • Partnered with the National Security Staff, issued the President’s Strategy for Supply Chain Security
  • Overseas Security Advisory Council
  • Variety of boards in Indiana

Mr. Douglas holds degrees from Indiana University and is a board Certified Protection Professional.


 

 




  

David Rippe (Consultant and Facilitator)

David Rippe is a key consultant for CEBI. He is the founder and president of the Trusted Advisors Guild and Celestia International, a strategic marketing communications and creative services firm.

David has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in increased sales for his clients. Some of these clients include IBM, Wendy's, Microsoft, Sony, Navigant, Xerox, Kendle International, Ingram, 3Com, Cisco, the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Break the Cycle, Inner-City Teaching Corps, and many more.


  





  

Dale Perram (Facilitator)

Dale serves in a facilitator role for Chief Executive Boards.  He is duly qualified as he founded his own company, Perram Electric, in 1986.  The organization grew from two employees, to 48, and was one of the 30 largest contractors working for the Ohio Department of Transportation. The company had the reputation for quality, on-time performance. 

Dale sold his business in 2008, but still provides financial oversight for the company as well as one-on-one coaching sessions with the management team.  Dale holds a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron.

Ron Wiley (Founder)

Ron is the founder and former owner of Chief Executive Boards International. He specializes in helping business owners, presidents, and CEOs deal with the unique needs of chief executives. Ron has extensive experience in business education and training having provided training for thousands of individuals for more than 20 years. He has consulted with hundreds of companies and organizations including the US Department of Labor, US Office of Education, Federal Aviation Agency, and the US Marshals Service.
